Chelsea Handler tells VMA critics like Perez Hilton to shove it after 11.5 million viewers tune in

Chelsea Handler thinks everyone should just eff off.

The "Chelsea Lately" host is blasting critics of her performance as the host of the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

"I had a really great time last night," said Handler on her show Monday night, “and for anyone who thinks I didn't do a good job, f--- off."

On Monday, The New York Times called Handler "among the worst [hosts] in the show's history," and the Washington Post slammed her jokes as "a few degrees below crass."

But Handler's most vocal opponent was infamously vitriolic celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

"For the most part, we were bored and just hoping she would shut the hell up so we could hear more music," he wrote.

Handler responded by attacking Hilton personally.

"oh, f--- off," she Tweeted Tuesday morning. "I had a blast and the show awesome last night. Bomb? Your life is a bomb."

The duo traded expletives for several hours, but Handler got the last laugh when word of the show's ratings came in.

The VMAs reportedly netted 11.4 million viewers and, according to EW.com, is currently the highest-rated cable telecast of 2010
